Incoterms are defining the rules for freight costs, passing of risk in transportation and sharing the duty of disposition. They became the greatest help for exporters and importers and simplify many contract details.
The International Chamber of Commerce in Paris (ICC) first published the Incoterms in 1936. The most current version is dated in 2010 and is adapted to modern trade practice, transport technology, electronic communication tools and new safety regulations.
